I have been trying to confirm some of the research Dr Leypold conducted in the 1970s. During it I made an amazing discovery. Hafner 41 is attributed to Venice, but it was first struck in 1817. So the dating for Hafner 41 should now be 1817- 1850s. I am currently waiting to see if the NUmismatist (US) will publish the story ( I sent them the article a week ago), The article has the full references. This was not the only discovery I made!!! |
