This coin seems to match Franz Leypold's 1976 prediction of what an original ( non-restrike) 1780 MTT would look like:

HI Afrasi: still very surprised with this find and will see this week if I can examine some 1777-1779 MTTs giving special attention to the edge markings. This finds reverse has the tail formation typical of a 1777 strike. The edge has been impressed with similar but different tooling from H26,27, & 28. It would be really "tidy" if the edge markings matched that on a 1779 strike. One thing is the coin has never been cleaned.

Yes, additionally to the rareness of this spectacular find it has an absolute perfect patina.
