Thank you for the info! Here is the other side of the coin, unfortunately I cannot post bigger picture because coin is not mine (yet)  I would appreciate some estimate in terms of value, I know the pictures are small. Coin is mostly XF with a visible dent above the head. Regards.

Yes, M stands for Milano, what is confusing me is the fact that Krause's Standard Catalog of World Coins 1701-1800 (5th Ed 2010) doesn't list under KM# 1873 M version of this dukat. Coin is identical to issue KM# 1873, with the same legend, but there are only A,B,G and E issues for the 1786 year in Krause's catalog. Actually there are no M issues at all for Austrian dukats, coined in that period, I could find only sovranos with M stamp from that period: http://www.coinarchives.com/w/lotviewer ... c5ae5f763b |
