Hello muenzminer, congratulations, the piece is actually a Neunkirchner penny! The type is a CNA I, B 44. The minters were the abbots of the Benedictine monastery Formbach: Werinto (1108-1127) and Dietrich (1127 - around 1140). The mint is Neunkirchen. It is a valuable and very rare piece! hexaeder Hallo muenzminer, Gratulation, das Stück ist tatsächlich ein Neunkirchner Pfennig!

Hello muenzminer, This morning I had some time and could sketch the backside of your B 44. You can watch three centaurs with horns and pointed beards. In the right hand a battle ax (?) in the left a club (?) or a fish (?). This corresponds exactly to the description in CNA I. If you follow this link you will find more about pennies from Neunkirchen than anywhere else on the internet: http://www.numismatik-cafe.at/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=6518 In the meantime, only B 32, B 34 and B 35, as well as some unedited ones were treated. In the meantime, there is already a scientific paper on the indeterminate pennies in our guide. There will also be treated those types from whom you have found evidence. But the topic is very extensive and it will take a while. hexaeder Hallo muenzminer, heute morgen hatte ich etwas Zeit und konnte die Rückseite vom deinem B 44 skizzieren.
